Actuon Robotics is an early-stage lab building open-source actuators, control software and robots, starting from the part that moves.
Everything starts with a stroke.

What we're building.
Actuators
Linear and rotary drives, designed in the open, with drawings, parts lists and test data published alongside them.
Control
Firmware and software that close the loop: sensing, estimation and motion control, tuned on real hardware.
Machines
Reference robots that put the parts to work, so every claim can be checked on a bench.
It's early days. Repositories will appear on GitHub as each part is ready to share.
How we work.
Open by default
Code, drawings and results are public. If we can't show how it works, it isn't finished.
Measured, not claimed
Every number comes from a bench test that anyone can repeat.
Simple parts, honest engineering
We prefer standard components and clear designs that others can build, repair and improve.
Local first
Robots should keep working without a cloud connection or a subscription.
